WETEX 2026 to Spotlight EV Charging Growth in Dubai

Dubai’s EV Charging Growth will take centre stage at WETEX 2026, as charging infrastructure, electric mobility and fleet solutions become key areas of focus at the upcoming exhibition.

Organised by Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA), WETEX 2026 will take place from 20–22 October 2026 at the Dubai World Trade Centre. Its Green Mobility Zone will showcase electric and hydrogen vehicles, charging technologies and fleet management solutions, bringing together utilities, transport operators, investors and technology providers.

The event comes as EV Charging Growth in Dubai continues alongside electric vehicle adoption. According to DEWA, Dubai reached 2,223 EV charging points by the first quarter of 2026. The number of EVs in the emirate also increased from 37,486 at the end of 2024 to 47,944 by the end of 2025, representing 27.9% year-on-year growth.

High-utilisation fleets are also driving demand for faster charging infrastructure. DEWA and Dubai Taxi Company have inaugurated an ultra-fast charging hub in Muhaisnah 4 featuring 24 charging points rated at 360kW each, capable of charging 24 vehicles simultaneously in approximately 35 minutes. The project forms part of a wider agreement to deploy more than 200 ultra-fast charging points for DTC’s fleet.

As Dubai advances towards smarter and more sustainable transport, scalable and reliable charging infrastructure will remain central to supporting growing EV demand.

Supporting the Next Phase of EV Charging in the UAE

As EV adoption continues to rise, the focus is shifting towards charging infrastructure that can support different users, locations and levels of demand. From residential and workplace charging to high-powered fleet and public networks, scalable infrastructure will be essential to supporting the UAE’s evolving electric mobility ecosystem.

CITA EV Charger supports this transition with AC and DC EV charging solutions from 7kW to 480kW for homes, businesses, fleets and public charging applications across the UAE.
