EV Charging Infrastructure UAE Expands in Dubai Parks

Dubai is taking a major step forward in strengthening its EV charging infrastructure UAE with the rollout of 600 new electric vehicle charging stations across public spaces. Dubai Municipality, in partnership with UAEV (Emarat EV Charging Stations Company), leads the initiative to make EV charging more accessible in everyday locations.

The project will introduce charging facilities across 600 parking spaces in some of the city’s most visited destinations, including parks, neighbourhood spaces, and public beaches. In its first phase, 75 supercharging stations will be installed across 150 parking bays over the next two years, with a strong focus on geographic coverage and user convenience.

This large-scale rollout comes at a time when EV adoption in the UAE continues to rise. Recent trends suggest that a significant portion of residents are considering or switching to electric vehicles, driven by lower running costs and improved charging accessibility. The standardisation of EV charging tariffs in recent years has further supported this shift.

Valued at Dh150 million, the project follows a Public-Private Partnership model aligned with the Dubai Economic Agenda D33. It also supports broader national strategies, including the UAE Net Zero 2050 initiative and the goal of achieving 50% EV adoption by 2050.

What makes this initiative particularly impactful is its focus on integrating charging infrastructure into daily life. By placing EV chargers in recreational and high-footfall areas, Dubai is enabling residents and visitors to charge their vehicles while engaging in leisure activities – making sustainable mobility more practical and convenient.

As EV infrastructure continues to expand, the demand for reliable, scalable, and smart charging solutions will only grow. This is where companies like CITA EV Charger play a vital role, offering advanced EV charging solutions from 7kW to 480kW, supported by intelligent platforms like EV apps and CPMS to enhance efficiency and user experience.

Dubai’s latest move signals a clear direction: making EV charging not just available – but seamlessly integrated into everyday living.
